About LEO

Eight years of the same lunch.

Leaders Exchanging Opportunities is a small business networking group with an eight-year history of owners meeting in a casual, stress-free atmosphere and exchanging hundreds of qualified referrals from clients, customers, friends and family.

How the referrals actually work

Our referrals are not cold leads. By the time a name reaches you, the member has already spoken to their friend or client about someone who does exactly what they need. Word of mouth may be the strongest form of advertising there is, and this group is a standing appointment to generate it.

One exclusive category each

Each member holds one exclusive business category, with the exception of professions that have clear-cut sub-categories — a personal injury attorney and a probate attorney, for example, are not the same seat. Because no two members compete for the same referral, an open category matters to the whole room, not only to the business that would fill it.

Knowing, liking, trusting

Many members have been together since the founding of the club. Over that time they have learned to know each other, like each other, and trust each other, based on understanding the nature and quality of each member's business. The focus in the room is on getting to know each other and learning about every business represented — the referrals follow from that, not the other way round.

Common questions

Before you come.

How do I get a referral?

Search the directory and contact the member directly, by phone or email. There is no form in the middle — you are reaching the business owner.

Can two members hold the same industry?

No. Each category is held by one member at a time. Professions with clear-cut sub-categories can be split — a personal injury attorney and a probate attorney hold separate seats, for example — but members never compete for the same referral.

What does membership cost?

Dues are EMPTY. Come to a lunch first and ask a member for the current figure.

Do I have to be based in South Florida?

Members work across South Florida. What matters is that you can make the meeting reliably and that your customers are in the area.

What is expected of a member?

Show up, learn what everyone else does well enough to describe it to a stranger, pass referrals in good faith, and follow up on the ones you receive.

Is your industry the missing one?

Every unheld category is referral work leaving the room. Come to a lunch, meet twenty-three people, and decide afterwards.
