CPA & Accounting in South Florida
Tax preparation and accounting for individuals and small businesses, plus the bookkeeping that makes the return straightforward instead of archaeological.
What this covers

- Florida sales tax and payroll filings
- IRS notices and correspondence
Before you hire
Ask this of anyone you are considering for the work — including someone who is not a LEO member:
- Who prepares my return, and who reviews it before it is filed?
- Are you reachable in July, or only during filing season?
- Is this a flat fee or hourly, and what is included?
What's different in South Florida
Florida has no personal income tax, which makes the state-level questions more interesting rather than less. New residents need to establish domicile properly, and the state they left may take a close interest in whether they did. Businesses still owe Florida sales and use tax, and seasonal revenue — heavy from November through April, thin in August — makes quarterly estimates easy to get wrong in both directions.
