Pet Sitting in South Florida
In-home pet sitting, drop-in visits and dog walking while you are at work or away — feeding, medication and the routine your animal already knows.
What this covers
- Drop-in visits and daily care
- Dog walking
- Overnight stays
- Medication administration
- Care while you are traveling
Before you hire
Ask this of anyone you are considering for the work — including someone who is not a LEO member:
- Are you insured and bonded?
- What is the plan if there is a storm or a medical emergency while I am away?
- Will I get updates, and how often?
What's different in South Florida
Heat is the practical constraint here. Pavement gets hot enough to injure paws well before it feels hot underfoot to a person, so walk timing genuinely matters from May through October. Storm season is the other: if you travel between June and November, agree in advance what happens if a hurricane is forecast while you are away — who has authority to move your animals, and where they would go.
