Life Insurance in South Florida
Life insurance and the planning around it: how much, what kind, for how long, and whether the policy you already have still does the job.
What this covers
- Term and permanent coverage
- Coverage needs analysis
- Reviewing an existing policy
- Beneficiary designations
- Coordinating with an estate plan
Before you hire
Ask this of anyone you are considering for the work — including someone who is not a LEO member:
- How much coverage do I actually need, and how did you arrive at that?
- What happens at the end of the term, and what will it cost then?
- Who are my current beneficiaries on record?
What's different in South Florida
Two things go wrong quietly. Beneficiary designations go stale after a marriage, a divorce or a death, and they override a will — so an out-of-date form can undo careful estate planning. And term policies bought in a hurry at a career start often expire exactly when a family still depends on them. A review takes an hour and is free at most agencies.
